Deux-Rives Appliance Repair was founded in 2022 by two technicians who were tired of watching neighbours wait a week for a call-back, then get handed a surprise bill. They set out to build the opposite: a repair service that shows up when it says it will, quotes the price before touching a screwdriver, and treats a home like its own.
"Deux-Rives" means "two shores." We chose it because our home base sits between them — Laval on the North Shore, Longueuil on the South — with the river running through the middle. From day one the idea was simple: wherever you are along the water, you should have the same dependable technician a phone call away.
We began with a single van, a toolbox, and a promise to answer the phone. Word travelled the way it does in a neighbourhood — a fixed fridge here, a rescued laundry day there — and before long we were covering both shores full-time. We have grown carefully and stayed local on purpose, because the best appliance repair still comes from someone who knows the streets they are driving to.
